Programming wiz, Pat Glynn is developing over an interesting mod at hl2world; he plans on making Half Life 2 compatible with the Wii remote and nunchuck. "How?" you may ask, the solution is surprisingly practical.
"All you will need to play is a blue tooth dongle, a sensor bar (unless you use the wii's wired sensor bar) and of course a wiimote(including nunchuck). Any hl2 single player maps (including custom) will be fully playable with the new Wiimote."
and in just the space of around two weeks Pat has managed to make a fair amount of headway and has released a few videos showing off some fairly interesting features, along with just aiming your weapons with the wii remote there are ideas such as full crowbar control with the Wii remote and gestured squad commands yet to be implemented. It seems like a crazy fusion of console and PC but it seems to have a nice fresh gameplay perspective for Wii and non-Wii (provided you can afford the remote and nunchuck!) owner alike.
You can read more about features to be included over at Hl2world and check out the latest video here.
